Skydiver Lands in Beer Tent During California Independence Day Celebration

A planned patriotic display at the Folsom Pro Rodeo in California ended with an unplanned collision on Thursday, as a skydiver carrying a giant U.S. flag crash-landed into a hospitality tent. The incident occurred during the opening ceremonies of the annual July 4th event, a tradition for the city near Sacramento.

Unforeseen Landing

The rodeo's traditional start involves a parachutist delivering a large American flag into the arena. However, this year, the skydiver encountered trouble shortly before landing. Video footage captured from the event shows the flag becoming entangled with trees situated just outside the rodeo grounds. This entanglement caused the skydiver to lose altitude prematurely, leading to a direct impact with a nearby tent set up for rodeo attendees.

Fortunately, the skydiver managed to avoid striking spectator stands, which were in close proximity to the tent. Emergency services and rodeo organizers quickly attended to the individual.
